Sometimes in life, you need to wear many hats (Mom, Daughter, Wife, Customer Care Coordinator, etc…) It is always nice when you can focus on one at a time. But, life is not always nice. Sometimes it is quite messy. I don’t like the mess. I plow through like a Bat Out of Hell (tribute to Meat Loaf). Really, what I need to do is pause, breathe, relax, and just be.

Ninety miles an hour going fast as I can
Trying to push a little harder trying to get the upper hand

House Divided? Or United?

I serve on the American Bus Association Board of Directors. John serves on the United Motorcoach Association Board of Directors. 2 different associations – one industry. We were both recently re-elected to our positions. While each association serves the industry differently, we are united in our passion for what we do.

John and I were recently interviewed by Ch. 5 – We Are Iowa. We continue to fight to have our voices heard and speak for our industry. 50% of the companies have not survived. We are grateful for our stubbornness and YOU, our clients, that keep our wheels rolling.

Drivers stranded overnight as snowstorm and crashes shut down Virginia interstate

It gave me flashbacks to the Pennsylvania Turnpike Mass we were blessed to be a part of. Do we want to do it again? No. Some blessings are best left to one-time only events. That is why I appreciated the extra blessing we received before the same trip this year. 

In 2016 2 of our buses (along with many others) were stranded for 24 hours. Our passengers made the best of it and celebrated Mass along the turnpike.
