Have you been wondering where I am and what I do? I do think about all of you and have felt derelict in my duties. January was a crazy month. In fact, John and I were apart for 22 days! His travels included our insurance meeting in CA, followed by family time with his brother. He came home to a last-minute driver need, adding to his 14 days away. I love this crazy business. Am I insane? Maybe, but serving you makes my heart overflow.
ABA’s Road to Reno
Danielle and I spent 8 days in Reno, NV, as co-chairs for the American Bus Association’s Annual Meeting and Marketplace, with 2,504 people in attendance. Being from a small town, this week is just like going home, seeing your friends and family, catching up, and getting work done. Part of our job was to create content. Danielle was the brains behind these. Below, one word to describe the experience.

UMA Expo
John, Jeremy, and Jeremiah just returned from UMA Expo in Birmingham, AL. They were asked to participate in a panel discussing the transition to the next generation. (Our 3 are on the far left.)
ABA includes the tourism industry; destinations, attractions, hotels, restaurants, and bus people.
UMA is more about the nuts and bolts of the motorcoach industry.
Both associations provide education and advocate on Capitol Hill. They are vital to our success as a company. John is a UMA board member.

This group of iTIP members gathered to celebrate our successes in Reno. We will gather again at the Iowa Tourism Conference on March 12-13, 2026.
It is important to exercise our 1st Amendment rights to petition our government. From 2023, visitor spending grew 2.8%, reaching $7.5 BIlLION in 2024! These dollars have a strong economic impact, raising tax revenue and funding Iowa’s budgets (local and state) for programs we need (e.g., education, police, fire).
