Hmm. I am sensing a trend. 2 months in between my newsletter sends. The undone task weighs heavy on my mind, but I do need to take care of first things first. – your trips. I am also getting better at protecting moments at home. Then, there is a whole new sourdough journey I will discuss some other time. If you know, you know.
Singing, oh Lord, keep me in the moment
Help me live with my eyes wide open
‘Cause I don’t wanna miss what You have for me
Singing, oh Lord, show me what matters
Throw away what I’m chasing after
‘Cause I don’t wanna miss what You have for me
Keep me in the moment
Oh, keep me in the moment
Keep me in the moment
‘Cause I don’t wanna miss what You have for me
Jerry Kjer was a co-founder of Central Iowa Transit (CIT). He was John’s uncle, mentor, and friend. In John’s semi-retired status, he was able to be present for many moments of Jerry’s last days. I have linked how CIT began, with Jerry below. It is a fun story.
I am a scrapbooker, but in trying to be more in the moment, I have not taken many pictures in recent years. Attending a funeral and realizing you do not have any current pictures with the deceased sets a reality. Pictures need to be taken to help remember the moment. In fact, as Danielle was making fun of all the pictures I have stored in Google, John and I could tell the story behind each one with joy. So, be in the moment, but take the pictures!

John, Jeremy, and Jeremiah attended UMA’s Expo in Oklahoma City in February. Sessions on safety, maintenance, and visiting with many vendors topped their list. In the picture above is Jeff Rogers, a good friend of ours from Houston.
John took Danielle with him for her first industry fly-in to advocate for the motorcoach industry. With a family of 5, John realized this was the first extended period of time he was one-on-one with Danielle. They had many fun moments, even a delayed flight that took them driving to PA to catch a plane home was part of a memorable moment.
As for the fly-in itself, Danielle stated she needed 5 cups of coffee to keep up with the pace of taking care of issues.
Iowa
Danielle attended the iLEAD conference in Mason City. Her number one take-away was being able to make connections and visit local spots in Iowa she would not have experienced on her own. Go explore! Create more moments!
Which moment was I a part of at the Iowa Tourism Conference?
1) Watching Danielle create her own network 2) Volunteering in the iTIP booth 3) Watching Jeremiah drive one of our 3 buses transporting guests to the evening event 4) Networking. So many moments.
